DON´T FALL UNDERNEATH THE STARS
Sometimes I remember, sometimes I forget
Where I am going and where I´ve been at
Sometimes I act stupid I know, it´s a fact
And words left unspoken will hunt you right back
My hearts in the middle my heads in the blue
My feet in the mud getting ready to move
I act like a stranger, but I could be your friend
As long as I´m trusted I´ll do more than pretend
So don´t fall underneath the stars tonight
Don´t follow my steps cause you might just regret
You´ll be falling behind
I plead oh sister mercy give me one ride for free
A ticket to the countryside is all that I need
I am a sinner but I´m well on my way
To be righteous and honest, and leave this parade
So don´t fall underneath…
Don´t fall underneath the stars tonight
Don´t go where I go cause you just wouldn´t know
What to do with my gold.
HANDCUFFED
Won´t somebody save me from this godforsaken town.
Been so high, fell right down, reached my lowest low.
Pharmaceutic products had a major part to play.
Passing pills guaranteed to blow your mind away
Now I´m handcuffed, bancrupt
In need of a change
Been there done that, I wanna get out
Handcuffed, bancrupt I feel like a slave
Won´t somebody please unlock these chains
Missionary´s daughter what a foul game she played.
One might believe someone like she could wash my sins away
I said Mrs can you save me from this evil
spell I´m in. She stole my car and drove away.
Left me here to sing.
Now I´m handcuffed…
Egoistic manners can be deadly I might add
The road was steep, them breaks were weak
She crashed into a rail
Cried Mr can you save me from this wreck before it blows.
I said I could most certainly but I just can´t find the keys.
Cause I´m handcuffed…
LITTLE BUTTERFLY
Getting up in the morning ain´t no friend of yours
Once you had a holiday you just
slept it away
Some may call you lazy time just flies
Like a haze every morning just
trying to get out of bed
Throw away your alarm-clock,
throw away all them shoes,
No pills , no pop, no trash
you´re best off in bed
Dream on, dream on, little butterfly
Daddy´s here and he´s gonna buy
Diamond wings so you can fly
Fly away my little butterfly
Sleep good during daytime
even better at night
You just put your head on the pillow and rest for a while
Some may call you crazy
me I don´t care
Just a long as I get my
evening dinner in bed
Hey little darling can´t you
hear what I say
Don´t worry ´bout nothing,
if you´re happy that way
Dream on, dream on, little butterfly…
MONA LISA
Here´s to the young ones with hope in their eyes.
For kissing in the moonlight, and
fumbling with a blouse.
Here´s to the young ones who´s hearts broke in two.
I know that feeling being lost in the blue
When the music is playing but you can´t hear a sound.
A glimpse from her eyes and you´re falling.
Like a fool with a bad charm, a puppet on a string.
For my Mona-Lisa
Here´s to the old ones, and heroes long gone
For friends and for families, and lovers done wrong.
Here´s to the old ones and names carved in stone.
For roseblossom and graveyards, and someone to hold
When the music is playing…
(additional verse, not recorded)
Here´s to our loved ones, to lust and to fear
of loosing the one thing we all hold so dear
Here´s to my love, the touch from her lips
The blessings of innocenc MR . MEAN
Back in my schack on Blood Alley again
You can handcuff me darling
just as long as you stay.
Cause I´m no good without you hanging around.
Won´t you save me?
I hope someone saves me now
I hope someone saves me from myself
Mr. Mean he ain´t coming today
Mr. Mean he ain´t never coming back
Cause I buried him under a train
No one gets out of here
No one gets out, of here
No one gets out of here alive
Wicked creatures coming out
In my head I am never alone
Ever since I was a boy
I´ve chased the ghosts out
I´ve chased the ghosts out
I´ve chased the ghosts out
to cleanse my soul
I can harvest some but I´ll never be safe
I can walk the line but I´ll loose it some day
So much I wanted to see
I hope someone saves me
Hope someone saves me now
Hope someone saves me now
I hope someone saves me…
In the end
e a miracle slipping away
NO EXCEPTION TO THE RULE
The day is long like a stretched silhouette
And it´s dark down here, and so easy to forget
When you´re working, slaving most everyday
For that weekly pay everything´s like a haze
And all my dreams are like birds on trees
They just fly away whenever they please
I´m so sorry darling, I missed our dinner
But I´ve got problems at work
And I´m so sorry darling, I didn´t tell you
I´m no exception to the rule
Time goes along like an empty train
You´ve got nothing up ahead,
and nothing to go back to.
You´re an empty view, with a pack of lies
Spoiling everything, trouble is the price
Building it up brick by brick
Just to tear it down to get your kicks
And I´m so sorry darling, I missed our dinner
But I´ve got problems at work
And I´m so sorry darling, guilty yes I am
I´m no exception to the rule
Honest working, staying true
Saving all my hours for you
Grinding, moulding pieces of steel
And no one ever asks me how I feel
I´m so sorry darling, I missed our dinner
But I´ve got problems at work
I´m so sorry darling, I´ll try to better
I´m no exception to the rule…
STOP THAT BUS
I was cruising towards Reno in my automobil
Just minding my own business both hands on the wheel.
When suddenly out of nowhere this goodlike sight appeared
This roadsign with a girl, a commercial of some kind, almost naked with a blindfold and a bottle of vine. Made me crasch right into the back of a Cadillac.
Hey there Mr. Stop that bus
I need a seat, no matter what the cost.
I gotta get to Reno, I need to go fast
I´m kind of in a rush Mr. Stop
Hey there Mr. Stop that bus
I need to get onboard no matter what the cost
Cause I gotta get to Reno, I need to go fast
I´m kind of in a rush Mr. Stop
Gasolin ain´t cheap these days, said the
busdriver man as he stretched out his hand.
That´ll be forty-eight dollars and no return fare applies
I had to pay him upfront to make an easy
escape. The radio was playing , flies were buzzing all around.
When suddenly out of nowhere this majestic sight appeared
Hey there Mr. Stop that bus…
Two long legged women on a roadsign almost bare. A commercial for some toothpaste and I really got scared. If this is the future I need a fast ride outta here.
Hey there Mr. Stop that bus…
THE WHISTLER
Old Jack does his sideshow, shooting pool
with the boys. And Mary´s all over them
two navy guns I´m in the corner
with an old friend of mine
Walls filled pictures, books and this guy
He´s an exclusive user of whatever feels right,
all these memories are passing us by
Hey mama and papa
tell the children to listen
playing songs for the crowd
Got my hope and my dreams
all wrapped up in a suitcase
When that midnight bell rings out
I´ll be on my way home
The stars are all shining find your
loved one tonight. When this song is over
I´ll be sipping my wine I´ve got some drinking
to do ´til I´m gone
Hey mama and papa…
Italian part…
Same as chorus above but in italian
THIS OL' HEART
You´re so fine, you´re my precious one
And my heart is pounding when I´m
close to you. I want to make you laugh and shine each day. Wants to be the man to kiss you goodnight
I need somebody, help me ease the pain
But I´m sometimes stubborn,
words don´t come my way
Guess I´m falling in love with you
But I´m oh so lazy, not so good at speach
And this ol' heart beats for you,
this ol' heart belongs to you
Well I´m bound for faliure just a
drinking clown
I still fall for whisky, get my fills in bars
I´ve had far to many chances to stay clean
But this cat still loves you after all these years
I need somebody, help me ease the pain
But I´m sometimes stubborn,
words don´t come my way
I guess I´m falling in love with you
But I´m oh so lazy, not so good at speach
And this ol' heart beats for you,
this ol' heart belongs to you
WAITING FOR THE END
Sixteen thousand faces burning,
I saw fire in your eyes
Shadows falling from the hillside,
spirits stiffened, from all lies.
Forty thousand angels crying,
for redemption for a sign
Oh my savior before our time comes,
grant us wisdom, draw the line
It´s not a sin
to be waiting for the end
It´s not too late
we´ll find something that lasts
It´s not alright
But we haven´t got the strength
It´s not too late
but were burning mighty fast
Burning mighty fast tonight
Hearts are breaking, bones turn rotten
from this darkness all around
Oh my savior, sunlights fading
Death is calling from behind
Every man that stands before me
I will strike down with my blade
There´s no reason to show mercy
when your loved one´s gone astray
It´s not a sin…
